Free Block of the Month
It is here!Free block of the month. Here is how it works: Each month, on the first, I will post a new block. You have that month to download the block free. On the last day of the month that block will be removed and a new block will replace it. If you miss downloading one of the blocks they will be available at the end of the program so you can purchase whatever you missed out on. Here is the first block - "Wonky". All the designs are whimsical, contemporary images. I can envision this as a border going all of the way...
New Wool Cutwork
Brenda Jeschke is my hero!! I've been learning to digitize and she has helped me TREMENDOUSLY! She is so knowledgeable about machine embroidery and has helped me avoid so many errors and problems in the new designs I am creating. Here's why I decided to learn digitizing... Whew! Festival was FUN!
Oh My GOSH! It is hard to remember how fast paced it is at Festival! There is so much going on, so much to learn, so many people to connect with... sleep when you die, right? I brought a lot of wool with me to sell, torn into baby fats. Luscious colors from Weeks Dye Works and Wooly Lady... and had a rounder filled with precut 5" squares in sets of colors and weaves from In The Patch. It was like being in a candy store. I almost didn't want to sell any of it. So tempting to become...
Festival is almost here!
I am so excited to go teach the 6 workshops Quilts, Incorporated invited me to present at Fall Quilt Festival 2015. It will be like a week long party where we all get to play together. The first day I start out teaching "Let it Snow", which is based on a cabin in the woods with a big North Star hanging above it, snowflakes falling, and pine trees ready to decorate. It just makes me think of Alaska, where I was raised. I'm planning on going back up there in February so I can be there in the winter...
