Hand applique wool of whimsical houses and flower gardens. The pattern was originally created for a block of the month but on this site it is not supplied to you on a monthly basis. Pattern includes all 6 blocks. Blocks are offset down the center seam to avoid bulk where they intersect. Overlapping applique prevents a static look to this wall hanging which finishes to approximately 23" x 35". An option you may want to consider is using a single, large background rather than multiple blocks. Instructions are included for the simple applique stitches used which include blanket, stab, bullion, drizzle, and more. Silk ribbon creates leaves using the Japanese ribbon stitch. Threads used in embroidery are 12 wt cotton, wool, hand dyed silk ribbon (4mm & 7mm). Minimal beading is added for sparkle.
